Who better to learn about sex education from than Jessica Biel. She may not be a doctor or a nurse, but she is a woman who had no idea what to do when it came time to conceive a child. Yes, we are serious.
Biel confessed to Glamour Magazine she was on the pill for so long that at the age of 31 when she and Justin Timberlake decided they wanted a child, she wasn’t sure how her body worked. She was confused as to when the right time was to conceive a child. It was at that point that Biel realized she didn’t know her body and it was time to learn.
Not only did Biel learn about the inner workings of her body, but she partnered with Saundra Pelletier, the founder of nonprofit WomanCare Global, on a series of videos where sex education is covered from puberty to contraception. No filters.
The question remains, do you want your children learning about sex education from Jessica Biel or from you? Since kids everywhere tend to YouTube a video to learn whatever they are interested in, maybe it is better it is done in a professional manner, versus from just anyone.
In an video asking, “If you don’t tell them, who will?” the campaign is about everything to do with women’s bodies. The video begins with “let’s talk about the mis – the misconceptions about women’s bodies. Educate yourselves, educate your partner, educate the people around you.”
So far there aren’t any videos with Biel discussing sex education but we will be keeping a look out for them.
